No Blow Mode – Emeo Digital Sax

This tutorial will show you how to activate and use No Blow Mode on your Emeo Digital Sax, allowing you to play the instrument without blowing air into the mouthpiece.

What is No Blow Mode?

No Blow Mode lets you play the Emeo Sax without blowing air into the mouthpiece. The instrument behaves like a MIDI keyboard using standard saxophone fingering. When no keys are pressed, a C# will sound by default.

If you plan to use No Blow Mode frequently, create a custom user fingering (No Blow setup) without the default C#. The workaround is explained below.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Check the firmware version of your Emeo Sax. Must be 4.4.11.17 or higher. Update first if needed.
  2. Turn on your Emeo Digital Sax.
  3. Start your VST instrument (Respiro, SWAM Sax, etc.).
  4. Activate Command Mode: press low Eb/D# + low C key together.
  5. Press Octave key + G key + Add F# key + low C key in Command Mode.
  6. Now in "No Blow" mode, test by playing a few notes.
  7. When no keys are pressed, C# will sound; see workaround below to stop it.

Workaround

This tutorial is based on real-world use of the Emeo Digital Sax. Behavior may vary depending on firmware and software versions.
